Yorke Peninsula Caravan Holiday Itinerary

The Yorke Peninsula in South Australia is a popular destination for caravan travellers looking to explore the area’s natural beauty and unique experiences. With so much to see and do, planning your itinerary can be a daunting task. To help you fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Yorke Peninsula we’ve put together a two-week itinerary to help you make the most of your time there.

Week 1:

Day 1-3: Head to the town of Ardrossan and make yourself comfortable at the Ardrossan Caravan Park. Take a day trip to the nearby towns of Port Victoria and Port Vincent, where you can explore the local museums and art galleries, or simply relax on the beach.

Day 4-6: Move on to the town of Minlaton and set up the van at the Minlaton Caravan Park. Take a day trip to the nearby town of Yorketown, where you can visit the Yorke Peninsula Heritage and Nautical Museum, or take a fishing charter to stock up on fish for the next week of dinners.

Day 7-10: Arrive at the base of Yorke Peninsula and set up camp at one of the many free camping spots in the Innes National Park. Here you’ll find beautiful beaches, walking trails, and opportunities for wildlife spotting. Take a hike to the top of the Bluff for breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Week 2:

Day 11-13: Head to the town of Wallaroo and check out the Wallaroo Heritage Caravan Park. Take a day trip to the nearby town of Kadina, where you can visit the Moonta Mines, or take a tour of the local wineries.

Day 14-16: Move on to the town of Moonta and park the van at the Moonta Bay Caravan Park. Take a day trip to the nearby town of Port Hughes, where you can explore the local beaches and try your hand at surfing.

Day 17: Pack up camp and head home, taking with you memories of the Yorke Peninsula’s beautiful scenery, rich history, and unique experiences.

The Yorke Peninsula has a lot to offer for caravaners and this itinerary is just a starting point. There are many more towns and natural spots to explore.
